Man City's Pellegrini delighted but not reliant on Aguero-Negredo partnership

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes he has a quality attacking line in Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo.

The pair scored three goals between them in Sunday's 6-0 rout of Tottenham, delighting Pellegrini who also feel he has plenty of other options in case the pair doesn't happen to fire.

"I think we have two very good strikers, but we can't forget about (Edin) Dzeko, who is also a very good player and (Stevan) Jovetic, who is injured," he told Sky Sports.

"I think that, here at home, to score 26 goals in six matches is not easy, but it's the whole team, not just Aguero and Negredo.

"The way the team plays is also very comfortable for them."

Aguero has now netted 10 Premier League goals this season while Negredo, who joined from Sevilla in the summer, has chimed in with five.
