Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that the club rejected offers for Mario Balotelli in the summer.
The talented but controversial Italian striker was being heavily linked with an Etihad Stadium departure during the last transfer window and Mancini has confirmed there was plenty of interest for the former Inter Milan man who will one day soon certainly eturn to his homeland.
"Sooner or later Balotelli will go back to Italy," Mancini told the Corriere della Sera. "That is for sure.
"However, it won't happen for a few more years and it will do him good to remain at Manchester City for the time being.
"We did receive various offers for him from Italian clubs over the summer, but we don't sell anybody here."
