Belgium captain Vincent Kompany has sent an injury scare through the national team camp ahead of this weekend's clash with Russia.
The Rode Duivels take on the Russians at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro in their second Group H outing on Sunday but could be without central defender and skipper Kompany who has a slight groin strain.
Belgium boss Marc Wilmots confirmed the injury on Twitter and indicated that the Manchester City man will work with the medical staff in a bid to be fit for the vital fixture.
Pas de @VincentKompany à l'entraînement aujourd'hui, légère élongation à l'aine. Il travaille individuellement avec le staff médical !

Belgium came from behind to beat Algeria 2-1 in their opening World Cup match while Russia drew 1-1 with South Korea.
