Man City's Kolarov expecting Premier League fight to go the distance

Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov believes this season's Premier League title race will play out until the end.

City are currently sitting in fourth spot on the table, six points behind league leaders Chelsea, but with two games in hand.

With 12 fixtures of the domestic campaign remaining, Kolarov is well aware that every match is vital if City want to reclaim the trophy they won in 2011/12.

"It will be 100 per cent difficult until the last game of the season because now we have two games less, but if we win all the games, then we go into first spot," Kolarov said.

"Every game now is a massive game for us and we will try to beat all the teams and win another trophy."

The Serbia international added: "I think it will be very tough until the end.

"Okay, Chelsea and Manchester City are fighting for the title, but there are also two more teams (Liverpool and Arsenal).

"It will be very interesting. We will try to stay on top of our game and do our best for our clubs."

City next meet Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday before returning to Champions League action with the Round of 16 second leg against Barcelona on March 12. Their next league fixture is against Hull City at the KC Stadium on March 15.
