Manuel Pellegrini says Stevan Jovetic should look at producing his absolute best for Manchester City for the remainder of the season.
The Montenegrin striker was left out of City's squad for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League with new signing Wilfried Bony preferred in his position.
Regarding Jovetic's future at City, Pellegrini indicated that the former Fiorentina forward still has a part to play for the reigning Premier League champions despite being absent from the rest of their European campaign.
"It's very important for Stevan to try to play now until the end of the season. To try and play as much games as he can, try not to be injured and have a high performance every time he plays," said the Chilean.
"At the end of the season we analyse, not just with Stevan, but also with the rest of the squad which will continue next year."
