Man City's Jovetic: England expect to win but Montenegro can surprise them

Stevan Jovetic is confident that Montenegro are capable of beating England at Wembley on Friday.

The Manchester City striker and his Montenegrin teammates sit just one point behind the Three Lions on the Group H qualifying table for the 2014 World Cup and he feels they can get the job done over an expectant English outfit to keep their Brazilian dream alive.

"England are the favourites because they have so many good players and they are a huge nation but we have played them three times (for three draws) and shown we can compete with them," said the former Fiorentina ace.

"I think they have more pressure than us because they are expected to win - and expect to win.

"But there is a lot of expectation on us as well from our own country. The people in my country expect us to beat any team, no matter who they are. I don't know why - but they always expect it!"

He added: "For us it means everything to get to the finals of the World Cup or the European Championships because we are such a small country.

"It is important not just for football reasons but also for the prestige of the country."
