Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given is ready to end his Eastlands nightmare for a move to Scottish giants Celtic.
The 35-year old Republic of Ireland international was hardly used by Roberto Mancini this season, as the Italian preferred current England number one Joe Hart, and has admitted that a return to Celtic Park is something that interests him.
Given spent his youth academy days at Parkhead before joining Blackburn Rovers as a 17-year old and says that a homecoming may well be on the cards.
"I'd never rule it out. It's no secret I've supported Celtic all of my life. Nothing is insurmountable. I don't think that is the case at all," he told SunSport.
"I don't know what the club want for me fee-wise or anything because we haven't got that far yet but nothing in football is insurmountable, I don't think.
"I'd like to have played for the Celtic first team at one point, but it wasn't the case."
Celtic's first choice keeper for the recently completed season, Fraser Forster, is set to return to his parent club Newcastle United, ironically Given's former home, providing an a vacancy for Neil Lennon but the main issue for Given is his fee whether it be a loan or permanent.
