Manchester City left-back Javier Garrido is on the verge of joining Italian club Lazio.
The Spaniard looks set to make way for new City signing Aleksandar Kolarov who has joined from Lazio and according to club president Claudio Lotito, Garrido will move the other way.
"We are a step closer to the definitive agreement for Garrido," he told reporters.
Garrido has fallen out of favour at Eastlands since joining in 2007 and after Kolarov's arrival, looks in excess to Roberto Mancini's needs.
