Man City's Falkenberg loanee Donyoh on New York City radar

MLS expansion franchise New York City FC are believed to be showing significant interest in Manchester City youngster Godsway Donyoh.

The 19-year old Ghanaian striker is currently on loan with Swedish top flight club Falkenberg and was watched by NYCFC head coach Jason Kreis on Monday.

Promoted Falkenberg, managed by ex-Celtic and Sweden star Henrik Larsson, drew 1-1 with Gefle to move off the bottom of the Allsvenskan table but Kreis was there to cast an eye over Donyoh who suggested he would be open to a possible future move to the USA.

"It would be a great opportunity for me," said Donyoh, who joined City's academy in 2013, to Fotbollskanalen.se.

"This is my second season in Sweden and [a] step into the United States would not be so difficult."

NYCFC enters MLS in 2015 and will be able to take up to four Man City players on loan as part of the agreement between the sister clubs which stems from City's ownership of the New York side.
