Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy is hoping a potential move to Cardiff City can be sorted.
The Wales international has been targeted by the Bluebirds who want to bring him home to his city of birth and the 30-year old is keen on the idea.
"I have never once - and I would never once - sit back and pick up my money," Bellamy said.
"I just couldn't do that to myself. It would be lying about who I am as a person so I'll probably look for that next challenge.
"But I'll be very shocked if it's another English club. I'd be very, very shocked.
"Playing anywhere else in Europe would be too much of a strain on my family because they live in Cardiff. So it really only limits me to maybe one place, so that would probably be it."
