Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy says he is undeterred by recent signings that will give him extra competition for a spot.
The Welshman will now face a tough task to be a regular first team player following the arrivals of Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor at the City of Manchester Stadium but he is not going to take the easy option and look for a new home.
"[Adebayor] is an outstanding player, as well as Carlos Tevez," Bellamy said.
"I did know this club was going to go somewhere when I signed in January. I've just turned 30 and it's a great challenge for me.
"I've got four years left on my contract and I'm looking to end my career giving it a real good go. I've worked hard to be at this club and I'm going to give it the best go I can to try and play."
