Man City's Bellamy too good for the Championship says Tottenham's Crouch

Cardiff City loanee Craig Bellamy is too good for the Championship according to Tottenham striker Peter Crouch.

31-year old striker Bellamy has made his birthplace home until the end of the season after seeking a shift away from Manchester City and has performed fairly well in the second division with eight goals.

But Crouch believes that the Wales international will be back in the top flight next season.

"Craig is a character and, from my time at Liverpool, I can only speak highly of him," Crouch said.

"He is a good lad and the only reason he is how he is on the pitch is because he wants to win and he is a winner.

"I can't see him playing in the Championship for too long. He is too good a player for that."
