The USA national team are likely to take on Italy in an international friendly in February.
The match has been rumoured for weeks but now Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has given a firm indication that the fixture is set to go ahead after suggesting Manchester City's Mario Balotelli and Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale would start up front together.
"I want to see him with Balotelli, as they are both strikers of great movement. I am curious to see them together, as they could be the solution.""I have decided that I will call him (Di Natale) in for the friendly with the USA in February," Prandelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Whilst the match has not been officially announced, Prandelli's comments indicate it will go ahead with February 29 the proposed date and Genoa the likely venue.
