Man City's Aguero targeting extended Champions League run

Sergio Aguero suggests Manchester City are ready to go on a positive run in the UEFA Champions League this season.

The Eastlands club are through to the Round of 16 of Europe's premier club competition for the first time after already gaining nine points from four outings and the Argentine striker is now targeting an extended streak in order to make up for the past two season's failures.

"We've qualified from the group stages and hopefully we can go further," Aguero told City's official website.

"I think we have an excellent squad to progress in the Champions League but we know that it will be difficult.

"We will just wait and see what team we play in the next round and do our best to progress."
