The Argentine launched a two-footed attack on the Chelsea defender during City’s 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win at Wembley on Sunday and although the Brazilian evaded injury, he wanted an apology from Aguero.
The City ace posted the following on Twitter:
I've contacted @davidluiz_4 and apologized for what happened during the match. It was an impulse reaction that shouldn't have happened.
Aguero escaped retrospective action from the Football Association for the incident because referee Chris Foy had seen it but not acted on it during the game.
