Manchester City deny reports of making contact with Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini.
The Daily Mail says club sources described it as "wild speculation".
After putting up with months of rumours about Pep Guardiola replacing him at City, a frustrated Mancini referred to the Pellegrini reports earlier this week after they first surfaced on Sunday.
He said: "Someone says for six months that Manchester City would change manager, Guardiola would come in, and after Guardiola went to Bayern Munich, now another manager."
