Manchester City are interested in Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Cesc was linked with Manchester United and former club Arsenal last week, after a difficult first season back at the Nou Camp.

El Mundo Deportivo says City are also interested, where incoming manager Manuel Pellegrini would welcome the Spain international's signing.

The stumbling block for City is that Barca's hierarchy will be reluctant to negotiate with their chief executive Ferran Soriano due to a bitter past history.
