Manchester City are reviving interest in Tottenham winger David Bentley.

The People says Bentley is seen as a quality alternative to Aston Villa's James Milner, with his ability to play on the right or centre of midfield.

Bentley, 25, enjoyed a strong finish to the season helping Spurs pip City to the fourth Champions League place.

But he remains very much second choice behind Aaron Lennon, who is now fit again after a lengthy injury.
