Manchester City remain interested in Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore.
City are turning to Pastore as they face missing out on Udinese star Alexis Sanchez.
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claimed that mega-millionaires City were leading the hunt for Pastore.
Zamparini said: "I spoke with Pastore's agent this week and there are six or seven clubs on him.
"He is destined for a great team and will head to Spain or England."
