Manchester City want John Guidetti to play at a higher level than the Eredivisie this season.
Guidetti is set to be moved out on-loan in January.
Sky Sports says despite Feyenoord's desperation to re-sign him, should Guidetti leave on loan it will be to either another Premier League side or to the top flight in Spain, Italy or Germany.
