Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is confident Carlos Tevez will remain at Eastlands despite the club's failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Wednesday's 1-0 loss at home to Tottenham dashed City's hopes of a Champions League place next season, with Harry Redknapp's men now guaranteed a top-four finish.
While Mancini had to fend off questions about his own future after the clash with Spurs, speculation has also suggested that Tevez might look to leave City.
The Argentina striker has previously queried Mancini's training methods, although he stated earlier this week that he wanted the manager to stay in charge.
And Mancini insists that failure to reach the Champions League will have no impact on the future of Tevez.
"Carlos Tevez has a contract with Manchester City and he will be here next season," he said.
