Man City recruit Gabriel Jesus called up to Brazil senior side

New Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus has been rewarded with a place in the senior Brazilian national team.

Brazil claimed their first ever Olympics Gold Medal in Rio earlier this month and City striker Gabriel Jesus played a crucial role in helping Selecao claim the triumph in front of their fans.

As reward to his fine performances in the Games, Jesus has now been included in the senior Brazilian national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers by manager Tite.

Brazil meet Ecuador in Quito on September 1 before hosting Colombia in Manaus five days later in CONMEBOL qualifying. The Canarinho currently sit sixth on the 10-team table with nine points from six matches.

19-year-old Jesus will return to Palmeiras for the remainder of 2016 before joining City in January.
