Man City receive fresh Inter Milan encouragement over Balotelli

Manchester City have been given some encouragement into their bid to sign Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli but the Italian club's president Massimo Moratti has effectively said he expects the Premier League side to raise their bid.

City boss Roberto Mancini is reported to have put in a £24million offer for the front man but so far Inter are refusing to do business.

"All depends on whether we can find the measures that are interesting for both us and them," Moratti told fcinternews.it.

"The markets decide the value of the boy, not me. We are currently evaluating what the figures are but also the desire of the player because this is also an important factor."
