Manchester City have recalled Brendan Barker from his loan with Rotherham United.
The Manchester Evening News says the termination of the loan agreement appears to have been by mutual consent, with City not content that the player was getting enough minutes, and Rotherham not finding a space for him in the team.
The good news for the elite development squad is that he will now be available for them.
Barker was a wanted man in the summer, when he toured Australia and Vietnam with the first-team squad, with Leeds heading up the chase.
