Manchester City are eyeing a bid for Chelsea goalkeeper Carlos Cudicini.
The News of the World says City will turn to the Italian if Newcastle United refuse to drop their £11 million asking price for Shay Given.
City are now preparing a move for Chelsea No 2 Cudicini, who would be a cheaper alternative than Given or Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon.
