Manchester City intend to test the resolve of Arsenal over their captain Cesc Fabregas.

The Daily Mail says City owner Sheikh Mansour would not flinch if Arsenal indicate any willingness to sell the Spaniard.

However, persuading Fabregas to move to Manchester when he has for so long been courted by Barcelona may prove impossible. It's understood City's interest in Cesc is being driven by football chief Brian Marwood, the former Arsenal winger.
