Manchester City are ready to sell midfielder Nigel de Jong.

The Sun says De Jong is set to be sold by Manchester City at the end of the season.

The defensive midfielder has refused to sign a new contract and has only 18 months left on his current deal.

De Jong has been offered an increase on his £75,000-a-week deal to £100,000 - but believes he is worth much more.

City are standing firm on their offer and are now open to bids for the 27-year-old Dutch international in May.
