Manchester City are ready to break the bank to lure Sergio Busquets away from Barcelona. The Daily Mirror says City boss Roberto Mancini wants Barcelona midfielder Busquets to be the club's next star signing.

City are hoping a huge fee and lucrative contract may make the deal happen.

Barcelona have insisted the 24-year-old is not for sale.

But City want to further strengthen their midfield, despite buying Javi Garcia, Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell in the summer, and ex-Barca man Yaya Toure has been a huge success since his move to Eastlands.
