Man City to qualify for Europe via Fair Play League

Manchester City could qualify for Europe thanks to their excellent disciplinary record.

The Mirror says City have slipped out of top-four contention and look set to miss out on a UEFA Cup slot. But as England head UEFA's Fair Play list there could be an extra space for Sven Goran Eriksson's men after all - as the clubs above them in that table should qualify for Europe in their own right.

And the key plus for City in the complicated marking system is the 'behaviour of their officials' with the former England chief and his team scoring heavily in that department.

Eriksson has the top mark in that section alongside Sunderland's Roy Keane, who was a hot-head as a player but an example of calm as a boss.
