Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is waiting on a green light from Inter Milan to open negotiations for Andrea Ranocchia.

The Inter defender wants out after slipping down the pecking order, but faces delays as the Nerazzurri seek to buy his replacement.

Mancini is eager to bring Ranocchia to England, though will face competition from PSG once the Italy international is formally put up for sale.
