Manchester City defender Karim Rekik says he wants to be the best in the world.

Rekik only moved to City in the summer from Feyenoord and has already tasted first team action.

"The first time I thought: this is really fast," smiled Rekik. "But at some point you just go along and you get used to the higher level.

"I have a lot to learn from guys like Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure and Nigel de Jong. They give me tips and say I must have patience.

"City feels like a family. I could go to clubs in other countries, but I absolutely wanted to go to England."
