Manchester City are intensifying their efforts to sign Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.
The Daily Mail is reporting Godin's agent Paco Casal has already held talks with City's top brass about a potential move.
Atletico are unlikely to want to sell the 29-year-old, but It is understood the Uruguayan has a buyout clause in his contract set at £28million.
Godin would be a key addition to the Premier League club's back line, which struggled at times during the 2014/15 campaign.
