Manchester City may still sell Nedum Onuoha, despite the defender wanting to stay.
The People says Onuoha, 24, has told pals he wants to try and win over Roberto Mancini. A product of City's Academy, Onuoha made his debut at 17 but injuries have hampered his progress.
His decision to stay is a brave one with Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Pablo Zabaleta and the suspended Kolo Toure already competing for his defensive positions.
However, Manchester sources say City still plan to find a buyer for Onuoha after his loan at Sunderland last season.
