Manchester City are pondering a bid for LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan.
The Mirror says mega-rich City watched the LA Galaxy midfielder during the World Cup and were hugely impressed by his loan spell at Everton last season.
Donovan is under contract with LA Galaxy but may feel that joining a European club permanently would further his career.
