Manchester City are stepping up their interest in QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar. The People says City want to bring in Cesar from QPR in January.
Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes remains the top target, but if City fail to bring him to the Etihad then they will look elsewhere.
Cesar fits the bill and Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp will let the out-of-favour stopper leave in January.
