Manchester City are ready to launch a bid for Juventus striker David Trezeguet. Trezeguet is soon to return from knee surgery at Juve, but knows he faces a battle to break the strike-pairing of Amauri and Alessandro del Piero.
French sources say City are preparing an £18 million offer for Trezeguet, though he will have to be convinced about leaving Juve for a club not playing in the Champions League.
