Gary Neville has blasted Manchester City following their 2-1 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
The former Manchester United defender feels his old crosstown foes did not make life difficult enough for the Reds, particularly through central midfield.
Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho scored brilliant goals for Liverpool while their midfield ran the show against the reigning premiers at Anfield, prompting the following quotes from Neville on Sky Sports.
"If I was a Manchester City player, I'd be embarrassed how easy it is to play through them," Neville said.
"We're judging Manchester City as champions of the Premier League. There has to be progression year on year, you have to get better. But this team, we keep seeing the same mistakes being made."
