Roberto Mancini's final training session with Manchester City's players has been described as "surreal".
Despite the fact the Italian was heading for the exit, he took training with his squad at Loftus Road yesterday ahead of tonight's penultimate league clash at Reading.
And a club source revealed to the Daily Star: "The whole experience was totally surreal. You can understand how the players felt.
"The manager was subdued and the squad just got on with it. It just felt weird because there was a huge elephant in the room.
"The players all want to do a good job in the remaining fixtures but hardly any of them have a functioning working relationship with Mancini. Make no mistake, they didn't want him here."
