Man City planning massive clearout to make room for big money deals

Manchester City are ready for a massive squad overhaul this season.

The Daily Star Sunday says City will return to their big spending ways in the summer, though will adhere to UEFA's draconian financial fair play laws.

They are planning to raise cash through sales and slash £50m from the wage bill.

Mario Balotelli has already gone for almost £20m and the futures of Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez, Samir Nasri, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Scott Sinclair and Maicon are all in doubt.

In addition, Kolo Toure and two players out on loan - Roque Santa Cruz and Wayne Bridge - are out of contract.

There could be other casualties, too. The message is loud and clear - stand by for a summer of stunning transfer activity at City.
