Manchester City are ready to compete for the world's top names this summer.
The Daily Mail says a host of European football's biggest names are on City's shopping list. Ilkay Gundogan of Borussia Dortmund is likely to be one of their first signings, while the club are also interested in Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Everton centre back John Stones — coveted by Chelsea — is also on City's radar.
The club's prospects of landing stellar players would be given a major boost if they reach the Champions League final, but the build-up to the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday has been hampered by fixture scheduling.
