Manchester City hope to raise over £70 million from summer sakes.
The Telegraph says City are prepared to work within UEFA's incoming financial rules to improve their squad this close-season.
With the anticipated departures of Carlos Tévez, Emmanuel Adebayor, Shay Given, Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Roque Santa Cruz and Jo likely to raise more than £70 million this summer, City will still be able to generate a substantial transfer fund from selling players.
But Champions League qualification will also be needed to generate the expected £40 million needed for another summer spending spree.
