Manchester City are chasing Everton pair Mikel Arteta and Joleon Lescott.

The Liverpool Daily Post says while Toffees manager David Moyes is likely to want to keep the pair, City are prepared to offer as much as £25 million plus Brazilian forward Jo in order to complete the deal.

However, Moyes will turn down any approach as he believes both players to be absolutely key to the Everton's continued progress.
