Man City owners happy with Hughes

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes' job is safe - but he faces a decisive few days.

The Sun says City's boss still has the backing of the club's billionaire Middle East owners.

But he faces a critical week, with monster clashes at home to Arsenal in the Carling Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday and Chelsea in the league on Saturday.

Sheikh Mansour and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak saw City blow a one-goal lead against Hull to record a seventh straight Premier League draw.

But the moneymen are believed to be willing to give Hughes time to turn the draws into three points as the club chases its first trophy in 33 years.
