Manchester City are reviving their push for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago. Gago saw a January move to Eastlands collapse on transfer deadline day.
City chief Garry Cook was in Madrid yesterday to meet with Real officials and is understood to have revived talks over Gago and also teammate Gonzalo Higuain, the Argentina striker.
Gago is available from Real, while Higuain's future, despite his wonderful goal scoring campaign, is in doubt due to new contract talks still on the backburner.
