Manchester City have opened new contract talks with Nedum Onuoha - to the tune £10 million.
The News of the World says City boss Mark Hughes met the England Under-21 star's advisors on Thursday in a bid to keep him at Eastlands.
Hughes blocked two bids from Newcastle in January for the versatile defender.
