Manchester City have moved to open talks with David Silva over a new contract.
The Daily Mail says City have made the first move to tie key forward Silva to an improved contract.
The Spain international has two years left on his deal and a City delegation flew to Barcelona over the weekend for initial talks with his advisors after Silva indicated he wanted to stay.
