Manchester City are ready to offer £3.5 million for Lokomotiv Moscow winger Marat Izmailov.

City boss Sven Goran Eriksson wants to sign the midfielder who is spending the season on loan at Sporting Lisbon.

Izmailov, 25, caught the eye of Eriksson after some blistering performances for Sporting in the Champions League this season.

Sporting have first refusal on Izmailov and have until March to decide whether to keep him. But he is reportedly keen to clinch a move to the Premier League.
