Tottenham could sign Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor permanently as early as January.
The Sun says Adebayor, 27, is spending the season at Spurs, who have a £14million option to buy in the summer.
City are currently paying half of Adebayor's reported £170,000-a-week wages, and the ex-Arsenal ace has hinted he would love a full-time return to London and will take a wage cut.
Juventus and Paris St Germain are also interested.
City believe letting him go for less than they could command once the campaign finishes may tempt Tottenham into signing Adebayor now.
