Manchester City are now ahead of Chelsea in the argy-bargy for Porto star Hulk. The Daily Star says City have now emerged as favourites to sign the strapping 25-year-old.

The Eastlands outfit are preparing to open the bidding for the Brazil ace with a £20m offer. But Porto want at least £36m for the 24 year-old, who can play on either flank or through the middle.

Hulk, real name Givanildo de Souza, has emerged as one of the most prolific talents in Europe in recent years.
