Manuel Pellegrini is unsure if Manchester City have sent a stern warning to the other Premier League title rivals.
The 2014 English champions have kicked off the new campaign in fine style with three wins from three matches, scoring eight times and not yet conceding, after beating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday.
In the wake of the triumph, Pellegrini was asked if City had sent a message to the rest of the league but was quick to downplay their brilliant beginning.
"We are not clear about that," he said.
"We are just clear about winning the next game. Now we have won we must think about Watford.
"What other the teams think about our team is not our problem."
Second-half goals from Aleksandar Kolarov and Samir Nasri gave City the win which has them sitting on top of the table with a 100% record.
